Home URTICARIA

Urticaria (hives) is a common disease characterized by attacks of skin rash, swelling and itching that can appear and disappear in a short time. Angioedema is a form of urticaria that occurs deeper in the skin and gives symptoms in the form of swelling, swelling, itching or burning-stinging sensation. It often occurs on the eyelids, lips and sometimes in the mouth. The reason for complaints in urticaria and angioedema is histamine release from allergy cells (mast cells) in the skin. Exercise, applying pressure to the skin, physical factors such as cold, food, medications, and infections can stimulate these cells. A clinical picture of acute urticaria secondary to food allergies is frequently observed in pediatric cases.
